I have just returned from 6 amazing days in London with my husband. We visited all the rockabilly and vintage shops in London that we could possibly find, so I thought I would share my findings with you. In case you ever wanted to visit London yourself.
London is a great city to visit if you’re into retro 50s clothing, just like me!
Rockabilly and vintage shops in London – Camden Market
If you are only in London for a few days, then Camden Market is where you will find most rockabilly and vintage shops in London. Here you will find a great selection of true vintage and smaller repro vintage shops. Camden is not only for women, but you will also be able to find amazing retro tweed suits for your man and cute rockabilly dresses for girls.
Collectif Camden Market– 36, Camden’s Stables Market, Chalk Farm Rd, London NW1 8AH, Storbritannien – Google maps
Your first stop should be Collectif Camden Market, a quite large 2 story shop. They have a great selection of rockabilly and vintage clothing, accessories and shoes.
Aida Zak Camden Market – Unit 831, Stables Market, Chalk Farm Road, Camden
NW18AH London, United Kingdom Google maps
Your next stop should be Aida Zak, a hidden gem in the stables. Here you will find beautiful rockabilly dresses for grown ups and kids.
The Arc Camden – 746-747 the north yard, the stables, camden market, chalkfarm road. NW1 8BG London, United Kingdom – Google Maps
The Arc is one of those shops you will probably just walk by, but you should really go have a look. Here you will find some of the high-end rockabilly and vintage brands. I spotted several brands like The Pretty Dress Company, Victory Parade collection, Hell Bunny and also Doris Designs petticoats.
You will even find true vintage dresses in this store.
True vintage shops in Camden Market, London
Personally, I’m not that fond of true vintage, but if you are then you should definitely visit Camden Market. Here you will find more true vintage shops than you can probably count.
Now, lets leave Camden Market and focus on the other rockabilly and vintage shops in London.
Vintage og 40s dresses in London
Revival Retro – 30 Windmill St, Bloomsbury, London W1T 2JL, UK – Google maps
Revival retro is what I would describe more as a 40s style shop, with beautiful dresses. Here you will find high-end brands like Stop Staring!, but you will also find retro shoes and true vintage in this shop. The shop is located in the very cozy Fitzrovia area of London, in a walking distance from Leicester Square.
Vivien of Holloway – 294 Holloway Rd, London N7 6NJ, UK – Google maps
Vivien of Holloway is located on Holloway road, a bit further from the center of London. The shop is beautiful and has a great selection of 50s style dresses, pencil dresses, skirts, and tops. You will also find accessories, hosiery, and even umbrellas – which I luckily bought on that very rainy day we visited the shop.
Collectif Spitalfields – 69 Brushfield St, London E1 6DE, UK – Google Maps
At the old Spitalfields Market, you will find a tonne of cute small shops with everything you can think of and also a Collectif shop. The shop is a bit smaller than the others but also sells Miss L fire shoes and What Katie Did Lingerie.
If you are looking for more Collectif, the Commercial street shop is only 300 meters away.
Collectif Commercial street – 58 Commercial St, London E1 6LT, Storbritannien Google maps
Collectif on Commercial street in London is my favorite Collectif shop. The shop is bigger and the selection is better, this shop is the shop where I got the best service and the staff was really kind. If you are only going to visit one rockabilly and vintage shop in London, this would be my recommendation. The shop’s selection is much better than the others, which makes it’s easy to find a rockabilly dress of your choice.
